Beanies for Balad

GOT BEANIES? Toybox overflowing? Old collections taking over? Our troops are asking for small toys to fill their pockets to give to the children of Iraq, Afghanistan and Kosovo. Needed are Beanie Babies & other small plush animals, matchbox cars, and wrapped hard candy & gum to hand out to the kids there, along with kids winter knit hats/gloves/mittens/scarves and kids summer shoes (flip-flops/crocs). For our soldiers, we send lipbalm and other small hygiene items (new, factory-sealed), portable munchies, and anniversary & birthday cards w/envelopes for them to send home to loved ones, all as a way to say "We Care." Sage Books began Beanies for Balad in 2006, shipping to Balad AFB in Iraq, and have now partnered with the originator of this movement www.beaniesforbaghdad.com to send all parcels directly to their US military contact units. You can mail directly using the information provided on their site, or send to us and we'll ship in our weekly box. Postage help in the form of $1 postage stamps is always welcome, as it costs us $12-$15 to mail each box. Please help fill the boxes, with just the items listed. Thank you!
